Aim of the guidelines
This publication aims to provide good practice guidelinesin relation to designing and undertaking bat surveys in theUnited Kingdom (UK), analysing the data collected during thosesurveys and writing survey reports. The guidelines relate toprofessional bat surveys carried out to assess how proposedactivities may impact bats. They aim to raise standards andincrease the consistency of this type of work and ultimatelylead to a greater understanding of bats and improvements intheir protection and conservation.
